About | An Exhibition hosted by Mint Works and SHE, with a series of talks, workshops, performances and gatherings to explore a new way of engaging with the earth.
This year the city of Marrakech is hosting the United Nations Climate Change Conference, COP22. Since the conference was set up 24 years ago, there has been a shift from a totally anthropocentric vision to the current situation where world leaders wish to protect the earth, for her sake alone.
The art exhibition and series of events ‘Dreaming the Land dreaming Us’ is a platform and space to deepen this respect for the earth, and to explore the world-view of animism as an appropriate response to the environmental crisis. We believe that art provides the space to examine attitudes and thus shape behaviour.
The environmental crisis is asking humans to reassess their attitudes towards the earth. This show is a space to in which to do that and to dream new futures for all. Working with local and international artists and change-makers we will be asking these questions:
How can art be a language that gives a voice to nature?
How can we invent a new relationship of communion
and collaboration with our environment?
How are we dreaming Nature, as She dreams us?
